| Dear DeKalb County Democratic Committee,
On behalf of the DeKalb County Executive Board, I want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering dedication, commitment, and passion throughout 2023. Your collective efforts have left a lasting and positive impact on our community, driving progress across our county and state. |

|
Our volunteers, committee members, house district chairs, precinct captains, blocks, and elected officials in DeKalb have been the driving force behind a year filled with successful fundraisers, community events, neighborhood outings, committee hearing battles, get-out-the-vote campaigns, and informative election forums.
As we reflect on the events of the past year, it's evident that the best is yet to come. With 2024 on the horizon, DeKalb remains a cornerstone in delivering a blue Georgia, and we are well aware of the pivotal role we play. We encourage everyone to take a well-deserved break this holiday season, recharge, and spend quality time with loved ones.
Your resilience and strength have been truly commendable, and we are confident that you will return in 2024 with the same determination to continue the good fight. The challenges and opportunities of the coming year await, and we want you to be ready to meet them head-on.
Thank you to this committee for everything you have accomplished in 2023 and for the commitment you have made to keep Georgia blue in 2024 and beyond. Wishing you and your loved ones a season filled with warmth, gratitude, and moments of joy. Happy Holidays! Yours in the fight,
Brandi Wyche Chair, DeKalb County Democratic Committee |

| GOP Dilutes Black Voting Power — Again!
Defying a court order for more Black representation, Georgia Republicans continue to prioritize political self-preservation. The new maps passed by the GOP-controlled General Assembly in the Special Redistricting Session is a shell game, moving almost as many voters out of black majority or opportunity districts as they do moving them in.

In DeKalb, an area NOT identified by the court as needing changes, House Reps Saira Draper and Becky Evans were drawn into the same district and House Rep. Mary Margaret Oliver and Senator Elena Parent, two long-serving Democratic leaders, districts’ were drastically altered, as were many others. To see proposed changes to your districts:
State House Maps State Senate Maps
Congressional Maps Judge Jones will rule whether these maps meet his order on December 20th. If the maps hold, it will mean big changes for DeKalb legislators and voters. Stay tuned for more to come. |
