Hello DeKalb Dems,
Voting Rights are still under attack! It may seem that in 2023, we shouldn’t be dealing with this issue but with the passing of SB202 two years ago, our voting rights here in Georgia are more vulnerable than ever. Many of our DeKalb Dems family members showed up last week to the DeKalb Board of Elections to stand against pointless voter challenges being made against almost 200 DeKalb residents by a handful of right-wing conspiracy theorists…and they aren’t done. We fight every year to ensure voters have ease and access to voting and these right-wing actors work every day to pick away at ours and our neighbors' right to free and fair elections.
In DeKalb, our bi-partisan Board of Elections and staff work to ensure that DeKalb voters will be able cast votes in the upcoming municipal elections as well as the 2024 elections including providing access to early voting sites, Sunday voting, and ensuring equitable distribution of dropboxes across the county.
These conspiracy theorists will continue to attack the right to vote in our county and across the state if we do not stand up against their anti-Democratic activities. To get involved and support efforts to protect our Democracy, join our GOTV team, become a Precinct Captain or Block Captain to help get your neighbors out to vote. We need all hands on deck in this municipal year as well as 2024. Yours in the fight, Brandi Wyche Chair, DeKalb County Democratic Committee |

| Check Your Voting Registration Status
Per Georgia law, people who did not vote in the previous two general elections and haven't updated their voter registration status are assigned "inactive" status.
Inactive voters have 30 days to respond to a certified letter from the secretary of state's office before they're removed from the list.
Ensure your voter registration status is up to date by visiting the state's My Voter Page. |
