 MAKE A PLAN TO VOTE EARLY!

Vote by Absentee Ballot or

Early Vote In Person starting October 12th.

Follow these steps to register, order a ballot, vote and SHARE!

STEP #1

CHECK REGISTRATION OR REGISTER TO VOTE

DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS OCT. 5TH!

Must be US citizen

Georgia resident

Live in the County where you wish to vote

At least 17 ½ years of age

STEP #2

VOTE EARLY BY ABSENTEE BALLOT

  • For the first time, Georgia voters can order a ballot online, all you need is a Georgia Driver’s License or State ID.

  • No Georgia driver’s license? No problem. Apply online at iwillvote.com/ga

  • You are eligible to automatically receive an absentee ballot if you’re over the age of 65, are disabled, are currently in the military, or are currently residing overseas temporarily.

  • Prefer paper? Apply for an absentee ballot using the paper form.

  • A new law calls for absentee ballots to be opened and processed starting Oct. 19.

  • Absentee ballots received early will be counted on Election Day!

STEP #3
TRACK YOUR BALLOT

  • Georgia offers a new ballot tracking system. Keep track of your vote like its your baby!

  • Once you order your ballot, you can track that it’s been sent.

  • Once you vote, you can track that it’s been received and accepted.

  • If your ballot is rejected, you will have a chance to fix it or “cure” it.

STEP #4

 READ ABOUT THE CANDIDATES

Vote Democratic all the way down the ticket.

DeKalb Dems endorse voting YES on all ballot initiatives.

STEP #5

FILL OUT YOUR BALLOT

  • Use black or blue ink to mark your ballot.

  • Fill in the oval completely next to the names of the candidates you are voting for.

  • Watch this short video on how to complete your ballot correctly.

  • Remove the stub at the top of the ballot or it will slow down processing.

  • Place your ballot inside the smaller (usually white) envelope/sheet.

  • Then place that envelope into the larger envelope with the address of the Board of Elections printed on the front (usually yellow).

  • Sign the back of your envelope where designated

DeKalb County has drop box locations where you can deposit your ballot safely and securely! What are the benefits of drop boxes?

  • No need for postage

  • COVID Safe. No interactions with others

  • Conveniently located

  • Ballots picked up at least twice daily
