DeKalb Democrats, we are now in overtime when it comes to voting. Early Voting starts Monday, December 14. You can easily find a list of Early Voting options by visiting georgiademocrat.org/early-voting. If you’re voting by mail, there are several ballot drop boxes throughout the county. At the DeKalb Committee level, we will be electing Post Seat Holders, Executive Committee members, and two State Committee Members.

State Sen. Gloria Butler was selected by her pears to lead the Democratic caucus in the upper chamber. It is only the second time when caucuses in both Georgia chambers would be led by Black legislators.
Having Black leadership at the top of the Democratic caucuses in the General Assembly better positions them to deal with racial injustice, said state Rep. James Beverly of Macon, who will be the House minority leader when the legislative session begins in January.
Butler will replace outgoing Senate Democratic Leader Steve Henson, who, like Butler, is from Stone Mountain.

DeKalb County Democratic Committee will hold the election of odd-number Post Seat Holders on Thursday, November 19, starting at 7 PM. The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections has approved the following polling place changes for the November 3, 2020 General Election and any following Runoff elections. These changes are necessary because the regular polling locations for these precincts are not available or are no longer able to accommodate indoor social distancing requirements due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please be sure to double-check your precinct location by logging into mvp.sos.ga.gov. Continue to scroll for polling locations that have reverted back to their original location after the primary.
